166 – The way of the wayfaring men.

166 – The way of the wayfaring men.

And a highway hath been there, and a way, And the `way of holiness’ is called to it, Not pass over it doth the unclean, And He Himself [is] by them, Whoso is going in the way — even fools err not.

Isaiah 35:8 YLT

There is way that is distinct that leads to God. No one man, organization or movement is that way. Jesus alone is the way of Holiness, John 14:6. This way is the way of fellowship with the Son of God. Everyone that comes into this way is called a wayfarer. Right from the moment man fell, he strayed from that way and there have been men seeking for this way of life. Through out scripture when there is a deviation from the way, God makes steps to recover men back. He recovers those who are willing to move back to the right path. These are called the remnant. He encourages, empowers and strengthens them to do the work.

Hebrews 11:13-16 says of these men,
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. [14] For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. [15] And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. [16] But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city (Zion).

In our day an age, God has moved in several ways. Right from the massive deviation that occurred during the time of Constantine. During that time, the church found favour in the eyes of Constantine because he attributed his success in war to the Christian God. However, while Constantine claimed to have encountered God, as the roman Emperor, who was at that time the head of religion in the state, he felt he had a say over the affairs of the church. The elders at that time, who had greed in their heart, though knowing this was wrong, saw the potential gain from this and strayed away. These elders had long departed from the way of holiness in their hearts, embracing the way of the nicolaitans (A hierarchal system with a head and the rest of the people being the laity or bench warmers), Jesus had warned against in Revelation 2:6. The result was a deviation in the structure of leadership which Jesus had set for His church.

Jesus warned the church before his departure in Matthew 23:7-8: But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. However, this was thrown in the gutters, the moment the church had received favour from the emperor and so much money along with the end of persecution. In tomorrows meditation, we will explore key markers of this way of holiness as well as some major prophecies that birthed the move of God in this time. However, now is a time to search your heart, beloved. A deviation begins within by embracing the lust of the eyes, the lust of flesh and pride of life, 1 John 2:15. However, he that is born of God has overcome the world with everything in it, 1 John 5:4-5. The end goal of moving in this way of holiness is seen in our key Scripture, Isaiah 35:

Isaiah 35:10 AMP
And the ransomed of the LORD will return And come to Zion with shouts of jubilation, And everlasting joy will be upon their heads; They will find joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Prayer for today: Lord thank you because you have begun a walk to restore your church after hundreds of years of backsliding. Thank you for counting me worthy to be a partaker of this great call to mount Zion. Lord Jesus, because I was buried in and with you, I died to sin, the world and all of its lust and pride. I declare that there is no pride in me. There is no lust in me. I am born of God. I have overcome the world and all that is in it. I live, move and have my being in Jesus, the way of Holiness unto God.

Blessings Beloved 👋
